Imprinting Techniques General Imprint Techniques. In most cases we will choose the best printing technique available for your particular product. Certain applications and designs can only be printed on particular products. Direct to Garment (DTG) - For 80% - 100% Cotton Garments This is the default printing technique for photos, full-color images and graphics. This method requires the use of mostly cotton garments. The result is a vibrant full color imprint that will last the life of the garment. In some cases a slight fading will occur of 5-10% depending on the amount of cotton, the color of the fabric, washing technique and overall care of the garment. Washing and Care. Garments printed with DTG will need to be washed inside out in cold water. Especially for the first washing to set in the colors. After that the print will remain colorsafe indefinitely. Pricing. The price for DTG is set at $8.00 per side regardless of the amount of color(s) in the image. Heatsealed Vinyl. For 50/50 Cotton/Poly & 100% Polyester & Nylong Garments This is the default method for 100% polyester and nylon garments and orders with simple text, lettering and numbering. Generally all non-cotton blend sports jerseys will be printed with heatsealed vinyl. This method uses a vinyl film that is cad-cut and heat/pressure applied to the garment. The result is a very durable, permanent and solid imprint that will last the life of the garment. It is ideal for sports apparel and will stand up to rigorous use and abuse. Washing and Care Machine wash in cool water with mild detergent, no bleach. No dry cleaning, dry flat and stretch to fit. Pricing Pricing is based on the number of colors used. Generally about $6 per color, per side. Back names are available for $6.00 each and back numbers for $4.50 per set. If you use a graphic or clipart that has multiple colors, you can reduce the cost by reducing the colors using the color palette drop down menu. Fonts for Vinyl Lettering Due to the complexities in cutting vinyl lettering, some fonts online cannot be reproduced with this method. We suggest you choose only basic fonts without too much detail. We can edit your lettering/design if it will not work with this application. Team Name/Numbers If team names and numbers are selected the default font is Problock. This applies especially to numbers over 4" high since they are pre-stocked in house and are available in limited colors. Artwork Setup There is no setup for designs and clipart that are offered in our store. Uploaded images may require setup if they are not print ready and compatible. Some images cannot be reproduced with this technique, i.e. photos, halftones, gradients, complex images, fine print and full color graphics. The 20 colors available in our palette are the only colors available. If colors are used in your design that are not available, we will select the closest colors in our palette. Minimum Orders? Not! We don't have any minimum order requirements. However, we do have limitations regarding certain designs and processes being able to be applied to certain garments. Due to the thousands of design options available on our website it is nearly impossible to make every option available on every product. If we cannot print a design on a particular product, we reserve the right to edit and adjust your artwork to get the best possible result. We do not resubmit minor changes to orders of less than 6 pieces. If you have any questions please feel free to contact us before proceeding with your order. Embroidery We do offer basic name embroidery or monogramming for either left or right chest placement of a name. If interested please feel free to contact us. Screenprinting We do have the ability of screenprinting up to 6 colors. No online orders will be screenprinted unless arrangements are made with us. Screenprinting does have minimum order requirements, setups, etc. If you would like a quote on larger runs of 48 or more please feel free to contact us and we would be happy to provide a quote. |
